Competence Centre for the Prevention of Religiously Motivated Radicalisation in Bavaria
The statewide Competence Centre for the Prevention of Religiously Motivated Radicalisation in Bavaria is based in Augsburg. The team provides information and guidance to educational and youth work institutions, as well as municipal administrations and civil society actors, on preventing religiously motivated radicalisation and addressing anti-democratic and freedom-hostile attitudes. The Competence Centre offers training, lectures, and consultations on topics such as Islam, Islamophobia, Salafism and violent Islamism, promotes professional exchange and strengthens the networking of local and regional actors. Additionally, the Competence Centre organises workshops for young people in schools and youth facilities.
The Competence Centre for the Prevention of Religiously Motivated Radicalisation in Bavaria was established in September 2015 and is part of Bavaria’s network for prevention and deradicalisation. It is funded by the Bavarian State Ministry for Family, Labour and Social Affairs and the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth.

Our workshops provide youth with spaces to engage with questions of faith, identity and coexistence in a pluralistic society, guided by the central question "Wie wollen wir leben?" ("How Do We Want to Live?") in school classes and youth facilities.
Our training sessions for multipliers can be booked throughout Bavaria. These sessions cover topics such as Islam, anti-Muslim racism, and the prevention of religiously motivated radicalisation.
Through our telephone consultation service, we assist professionals in addressing challenging situations involving Islam, anti-Muslim racism and radicalisation within educational and youth work settings.
We provide support in establishing and maintaining municipal networks that are actively engaged in local prevention work.
In this online format, we meet with educational professionals in small groups to discuss specific challenging situations in schools or youth facilities using case examples related to Islam, anti-Muslim racism and religiously motivated radicalisation.
